aBIOTIC. Three installations look to abstract and synthesize the mysterious and ethereal behaviours of non-biological factors. On until April 23. New Media Gallery.

Landscape of Tranquility. This work by Wenyan Xu expresses beauty, peace, and calmness through Chinese ink paintings. On until March 30. The Plaskett Gallery at Massey Theatre.
Common Threads. Victoria Mitchell’s work acknowledges the interconnections between various entities, explored through art. On display until March 26. The Gallery at Queen’s Park.

Improve your job interview skills. A collaboration between WorkBC and Spirit of the Children Society, learn how to ace that all important job interview. Spots are limited, reservations are required. 12pm. 768 Columbia St.
Basketball Battle. Who will rule the Queensborough Community Centre court? One winner, food for all. For youth aged 11 to 18. Drop in for $2. 5pm. Queensborough Community Centre.
Friday Night Spring Thing. This event has it all: games, challenges, prizes, Royal City Sound DJs, and food. For youth aged 11 to 18. Drop in for $1 or get in free with your New West Youth membership pass. 5:30pm. New West Youth Centre.

Barley's pop-up shop. This pop-up aims to give local small businesses and creators an opportunity to showcase their goods. This week's feature: Bonorlea Design. 10am. Barley's Homebrewing Supplies, 455 E. Columbia St.
Leigh Brandt muscle classic. This Level 1 amateur show is open to all competitors across Canada in the following classes: Bodybuilding, Classic Physique, Physique, Figure, Bikini, Fitness & Wellness categories. Tickets start at $47. 10am to 2pm, and 5-10pm. Massey Theatre.
D&D meet up. New players welcome. 1pm. Union Jack Public House.

EVENT Magazine's used book sale. Check out this annual fundraiser, which offers fiction, non-fiction, poetry, textbooks, and kids' lit at unbeatable prices. On until March 30. 10am. Douglas College.

Tuesday, March 28
DIVERSEcity x Minerva women's leadership forum. Learn from other women, take advantage of group laughter yoga, and various networking opportunities. A light lunch will be served. This event is free, but registration is required. 10am. Anvil Centre.
