⚓ Former city councillor receives community award

Plus, where kids can play and parents can relax, and a stunning shrimp salad

Happy Tuesday, New West.

There’s something that’s been bugging me as of late: why are we calling ourselves “Vancouver” in our search engine results? I mean, I know the answer (everyone knows more about Vancouver than New West when it comes to geography and city recognition, blah blah blah) but we’re New-freaking-WEST.

It’s always so cool when I find out a business or a group is from here—something I wouldn’t have known after seeing a New West business or group marketing itself as being from Vancouver. Ack!

Maybe one day I’ll get my way. At least I can say that I typed up today’s newsletter in New West. 😂
