Fratelli’s New West location to close in June

It’s the end of an era—well, at least in New Westminster. Fratelli, which has been a mainstay in the Sapperton neighbourhood for about a decade, will close in June.
“Six months ago, the landlord in New West informed me that he would be putting up the building for sale, and unfortunately I received some terrible news on Boxing Day,” explains a post on Fratelli Bakery’s page, adding that the building had been sold.
The post goes on to explain that the building is slated to house a dentist’s office, and that the owner will not be opening a replacement location elsewhere. That means if you’d like to get your hands on some Fratelli goods, you’ll need to head on down to its original location on Commercial Drive, which will continue to operate.
