❓️ Can you help? New West Police are asking witnesses to come forward after a man was found with injuries to his face on Tuesday morning at New West station. New West Police have posted a suspect description to their website.

Suspects at large. Police in Surrey say suspects in an armed robbery are still at large. The robbery happened yesterday morning. Detectives are not naming the business, or the weapon used in the robbery as the investigation continues, though they say the business was along 128 St. near 80 Ave. (CTV Vancouver)

🤩 Community spotlight

Lloyd Wadhams Jr. stands beside the totem pole in Queen’s Park. This pole was created by his late father. City of New Westminster.

It’s been four months, but Lloyd Wadhams Jr. has finished restoring his late father’s totem pole to its original glory. The totem pole is 24 feet tall and required a number of repairs. Both men are Kwakwaka’wakw artists: Lloyd Jr. is best known for his wood carvings and gold and silver jewelry.

Did you know the poles were a part of a series commissioned by The Columbian Newspaper in 1967? You can learn more about the project online—and take a look at more stunning photos of the piece, too.
