The past few months have been peppered with political announcements. We know that there will be a new mayor, with Jonathan Cote announcing in January he would not be running again. Current city councillor Mary Trentadue also announced her decision to put the brakes on a council commitment, so she could spend more time with her family.
So, the New West Anchor figured it’d be easier to put together a list of the people running in the upcoming local elections, happening October 15th.
and thus I will not be running for re-election in 2022. It has been an honour to serve this community for the past 16 years and I am incredibly proud of the work we have been able to accomplish. From our work on housing policy to our bold steps on climate action 3/9
