Salmonbellies force a game seven in quest for 25th championship

The “Drive for 25” could be coming to a head, with destiny on the side of New Westminster’s Salmonbellies.
In what’s been a nerve-wracking best-of-seven Western Lacrosse Association (WLA) series, the Salmonbellies were able to bounce back and net a win against the Langley Thunder on Saturday night.
The Thunder had a chance to take a step closer to hoisting the Mann Cup as they hosted the Bellies at the Langley Events Centre. However, the New West team forced the series to a game seven with a 9-6 win. You can take a look at some highlights below.
“Be smart”
On X/Twitter, the Salmonbellies are urging people to get their tickets ahead of time.
“Seats are selling fast so a sellout is a very distinct possibility,” the team said, replying to user @blake3653.
If you’d like to catch the game on Tuesday evening, be sure to buy your tickets as soon as you can. Pricing starts at $11.

The last time the Bellies won a Mann Cup was 1991, though the team holds the record for most wins country-wide at a whopping 24 championships.
